Yeh, I ported some characters of mine in as the NPC faction I ran, but for the PC faction I made up a whole new family and everything... except Mischief, because somebody suggested throwing him in as the jester and it became a whole ordeal.

Yeah… AI at this point just can’t do something super-detailed like this. It’s also not the best at stylized artwork anyway, from my experience. Was that idiot just trying to claim they could do what you do, or pressure you to hurry up, or what?

One of my friends said that design #7 with just the hat, scarf, and shirts/shorts combo might be a good compromise. If you still want to call him something forest-related, maybe just Forrest?

Anyway, I love seeing this concept art, I think it's really interesting when an artist shows off their design process.

Thanks! Also as for the name "Forrest", that's honestly not a bad idea, I hadn't even thought to take a more simple approach lol. I'm someone who thinks way too hard about things from the get-go and miss simple details.

I love the composition and how you used the shading color to make it feel even more vibrant!

I like the different design of the usual “statues that move when you don’t look” trope. The detached wings feel kinda like a Nintendo 64 boss.

Now this is a very literal interpretation of “that scratches the itch in my brain”, hehe. I think that’s a thing people say, at least.
