Very unique designs. They look like good DTIYS material, honestly! I also like how each one’s design is coherent even though it’s not necessarily the kind of clothing you’d commonly expect to see.

This comic is funny and your style makes it even better. I especially think the background full of fleurs-de-lis when Polnareff says his first name is a great silly little touch. It’s a lot of fun overall.

My one critique is that I find some of the colors hard to tell apart/text hard to read, especially on the dark background. Otherwise the format looks great!

The hands holding the scythe don’t seem to be connected to it, but that’s a small error. Nice highlighting on the leather.

the scythe was a last minute addition. I thought about the hands, but I kinda' liked them being open. like she's telepathically controlling the scythe. I probably could've added some magic effects to make that clear, sorry about that.

This is weird, but I could tell she’s a Vtuber by the design alone before I saw the tags. I wonder if that’s because of design conventions that tend to happen throughout that genre of online content. Have you noticed any yourself?

im not into vtubers myself even though lots of my friends are so I couldn't tell you exactly *what* their design conventions are but i totally agree that vtuber designs tend to be, well, distinctly vtuber-esque in that you can tell that's what they are before you even look them up. I want to say they tend to have very busy designs on the upper half typically since their torso+face is all people will see of them on streams, and so they tend to have very distinct hairstyles/accessories/tops. also i feel a lot of them like to use really *out there* color combinations, vtubers are a really saturated market atm so there's kind of no place for more understated designs because they'll fail to stand out in the absolute sea of cute anime girls/boys. these are all sweeping generalizations though and im sure there are vtubers, popular ones even, who dont abide by these conventions

This layout reminds me of a certain boomer shooter title screen, especially the pose of the guy with the gun. Love the retro feel overall!

I like the interesting mix of feelings this evokes. It feels abandoned, but peaceful and ethereal. Some of the execution of painting the cat looks a bit wonky to me, especially inconsistency with the two light sources, but that’s just something to practice. Nice work overall!

Thanks! And I can agree with the light sources issue. I might revisit it sometime soon. I like working with materials that glow internally but still have external lights on them, so I definitely have some practicing to do :)
