Sometimes it do be like that.

I keep wondering if your shading looks a bit too flat without much difference between the shades, but that could honestly be a stylistic thing at odds with my own art preferences.

hm thatd be a problem worth working on if that applies to all my art but i will admit that these were like. colored sketches so they werent intended to be perfect. helpful advice tho will take into consideration

this is an older piece from 2020 but if i recall correctly, i think i was just supposed to colour in one part black but the lineart was open and the black spilled all over but turned out really cool looking so i kept it like that lmao

Your art style looks great! I’d recommend cleaning up your line work a little - there are parts where the lines are a bit rough or cross over other lines where they shouldn’t. You should also work on experimenting with backgrounds to make the character stand out from them.

In essence, I can really see your artistic vision, but it’s the execution that needs a bit of refining.
