That's adorable and I love it. You do this watercolor-ish(?) style really well! Seriously, you could make illustrations for people's stories. That's awesome.

Thank you! I was going for a storybook feel, don't really know what the medium is for this kind of style. But oh man would it be the dream to do these kinds of illustrations for storybooks! I'm glad you like it.

Holy frick, this looks amazing, both blown up as the Newgrounds wallpaper and in its original size. I seriously almost can't tell it's pixel art when I'm looking at it in the post here. I absolutely love the colors, lighting, and contrast. I love the atmosphere overall. Congrats on getting to do the site background - I hope it brings in a lot of attention for the game!

It kinda looks like you did his face in a slightly different style, or did a slightly different style overall. I like it!

Also it looks hilarious the way it's done (with like camera angles, lighting, etc) with the daydream versus reality. Nice work.

That is an excellent monster design. Kind of Doom-esque, pretty creepy. You should still totally make horror game sprites. I also like how you drew the sun!

Thanks, design work isn't my strong suit but it is something I'd love to practice more.
It wasn't until looking at a photo of the sun that I realized that it actually looks darker in the middle and brighter at the edges. we're all so used just seeing it as a white spot, slightly blurred at the edges.
