I think these same principles really do apply to any minority group - racial and ethnic, gender and sexuality, even disability related and beyond.

That being said, I think this would look slightly better with a different choice of text color (as this one doesn’t look the best with all six of the stripes) and better text wrapping on the blue stripe (as well as centering it like the other stripes).
