The truth is there is no method, it's just drawing and that's it :)

I think I know how to do a better background for this. I’d say use a contrasting color like blue (a different shade than Perry’s trim) to make Peach’s mostly warm colors really pop out, but mirror her rounded shapes with some circles and bubbles! See if that works!

That’s really cute! Really great line work, it’s beautiful and I like how you varied the pencil pressure to draw distant things.

I used to do that with pencils, but I ended up using hard and soft pencils to get consistent line opacity.
