I’m surprised something like this didn’t happen in canon, that would’ve absolutely been a gimmick in Homestuck.

Very nice design overall and fun concept. I don’t think the heart pink and Nepeta’s green look great together, but that’s not your fault.

That’s a really cute design.

I dunno if you still have the layers separate, but what if you tried using a multiply mode and turning the shading a color other than black? I feel like it muddies the colors a little bit as it is now, though I like the drama of how much is in shadow.

I added my regular shading, which is darker and slight off hue, but then for the darker shading I used a bunch of black shading layers with parts erased for the lighting. But yeah I see what you mean, shading is hard.

I love the little HUD across the bottom! Its design is very cute!

Combining two of the name suggestions (Melon and Emily), perhaps Melony? I like the fruit reference in Melon but also the cadence of the syllables in Emily.
