Okay, the one thing you've got to realize is that people like, for example, me, who can barely do anything remotely digital painting-esque, are going to see this and think it's really cool, and that the visible brush strokes make it even cooler, like some parts are visually in focus and some aren't. So don't beat up on yourself for it. :3
Definitely look at Impressionist paintings to put your mindset into perspective - there was an entire art movement dedicated to rendering forms easily with loose brush work, just like this! And I think that there's still a place for loose strokes and lines, even in the realm of digital painting where the supposed "masters" are the ones who can make shit look like a frickin' 3D model in a League of Legends/Genshin Impact update trailer. (Most people who AI generate art want it to look just like that anyway. You're less replaceable.)
