This could either be nostalgic or bleak and dystopian, depending on how you contextualize it. But don’t mind me, I’ve got gritty forgotten industrial complexes and scarily identical buildings on the brain.

I love the sense of scale in here and the use of light.

Okay, so I saw this in my feed before I knew about The Unknown part, and I wondered what the hell that was in the thumbnail. But now I get it. X’)

He’s actually a damn cool design, and I think he could even fit into the original Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, considering Roald Dahl’s penchant for darker twists in a lot of his other books. He’d have to represent something, though, because of the morality play aspect of Dahl’s writing. Possibly the general paranoia that tends to consume the types of shallow-minded people that the other golden ticket holders are.

Anyway, childhood nerd-out aside: I love this pixel art rendering and how the meth Oompa-Loompa just sorta shakes, lol.

the designs are unintentionally cool and more interesting than what it was going for. I'm thinking he's like no-face from spirited away or something to do with self image and mirrors

The really cartoony face looks rather uncanny with your style of realistic rendering, seems like something to experiment with striking a balance on. Otherwise looks pretty good!

Thanks! Im glad you commented , this one OC ive been working on since High School lol, and he has changed so drastically but each time he did I would feel more "percent" satisfied, i got to about 80% satisfied which felt like a big accomplishment lol

As for the music theming, im super leaning into that, got alot of ideas for forms and power escalations using that as a base. Not just for powers tho, music is how he's going to form relationships with alot of the other characters around him. I have to draw his "other-half" again tho, but this response is already rambly enough, so thanks again :P
