Dang, I love that dynamic pose and those effects, and the design is really cool! The whole thing conveys a kind of raw, wild power, which I think might be the case about this character, given the one side of their face that's more damaged and has a more wild/inhuman look to it. Really nice work!

Ooh, I like the grass/steel combo! I definitely see where you're using the steel aspect of it by including that hard shell - it wasn't as obvious of foreshadowing as the white and brown bits on Inferal and Kapycub, respectively, but I do get where that was going. And I love the square grass blades/leaves, they're really cool and simultaneously look techy and like plant life. Noice!

ZeTrystan responds:

Based on leaves on some other pokemons, but was trying to include it! :D
This one have to be the most subtle double typing design wise of the three, I think!

Very cute! I love the subtle details, like the lighting effects on the line art. The background's also cool, gives it a very dreamy feel.

I have a question - how do you achieve painterly scenery like that in your backgrounds? I've always admired the backgrounds you create in your screenshot-style pictures, they really further the beauty of those artworks. Are there any tips you can give on backgrounds and scenery? Thanks!

Also, I love the picture as a whole. It's really beautiful, with the bright colors, great lighting, and sparkle effects, and I also laughed at the big orange and the humorous subtitle. Nice work!

Oooh! I love this design! I can see now how the white marks were spreading to hint at the snowy stuff that's happening here. It looks really cool and I love the dynamic shapes in the design - definitely works well for a flashy fire and ice type Pokemon.

The design strikes an interesting balance between scary/otherworldly and familiar/human-like. Looks really cool, and I love the background effects as well.

Hah, I love this little humor post. Made a great joke out of that fascinating study result.

pInkmoth responds:

thank you !! i thought it was a really neat study too!

Aww! It got fluffier! This design also works well and I love the gradual spread of the brown before it will I believe take up more of the design in the final evolution (as I saw from another review).

ZeTrystan responds:

Hahaha, it sure will be more present in the last evolution!

Looks kinda close to your art style, actually, aside from the shading - is that where you get your style of faces, etc from? :)

The dramatic high-contrast shading is actually pretty cool and done well - I wonder what it'd look like if you tried to integrate that with your normal style of shading, to emulate low-key lighting (in film terms) while also using the highlights and gradient stuff you normally do.

themaskedmonocle responds:

Yeah the shading was fun to try out, but i didn't like that it covered up alot of the linework. My art style is actually derived from the Megaman cartoon, with a hint of Jem <3

AAAAAH! Thank you! She looks amazing! The lighting and shading came out really well, and I love the fire effects in the background! Thank you so much!
