Yay, an Animal Crossing/Doom fanart!

Like someone else pointed out, I think the background isn't quite pointing in the same direction as the characters. Isabelle seems a little off anatomically, and I reckon that some fur drawing practice could also be good, the outlines on her hair look less fuzzy and more just shaky. Otherwise, this is really cute. Nice work!

Some of the anatomy and the hair looks a little weird, even for anime style, but I get it, given the context. Color and shading look really good, though.

Edit: After you said "anime is my kryptonite", why was my first thought "Kryptonite-chan"?

Projects-Dev responds:

tbh even if you rated this 3 stars; I wouldn't judge at all. Anime is my kryptonite and idc much for it

It looks more "sketchy" or "paint-y" if you will, because of how the shading seems to move more from frame to frame, but that honestly could work well as part of the art style of a game or something! Little bit of jerkiness in the animation in a couple of spots, but I understand that that may have been technical difficulties.

Projects-Dev responds:

It uses a thing called Pillow shading, which is highly frowned upon in pixel-art as it looks crummy. I learned my lesson ^^' was quite the fun experiment/entrance to pixel art though

This is so trippy and so weirdly dramatic with that lighting. I don't know the context at all (other than a game that's part of NG culture in some way), and I love it. Lots of good shading stuff - feels very 3D!

Love the design, it's simple yet distinctive - especially the colors and shape language! And that third one was made on one layer? That's some serious skill!

Projects-Dev responds:

Old friend dared me to do it in one layer; was quite the experience

All of these look really nice, and I love the extra stuff you did like the Smash Bros. type graphics! Tiny nitpick, I think the shading looks a little weirdly flat in some places (I'd say it's on Momori, Callum, Megumi, and Appanar), so that'd probably be something to keep in mind with future pixel art. Otherwise, awesome!

This is really cool! Love the lighting and textures!

For the most part, it looks decent, though I think the legs might need to be longer, the head sticking out not as much, and the arms more equal in length.

Cartoony anatomy comes in many forms, but generally they all maintain close to realistic human proportions, except for breaking those rules in well thought-out ways. You should check out different examples of styles similar to what you want, and first try to draw how they do, so you can understand why they do what they do. Try picking a favorite cartoon character and replicating them as closely as you can, and see what you learn from it!

I feel like the bottom "tails" should be a little more even, like the jagged-line mouth is. Otherwise, looks pretty decent, though I do see his head clipping through the hat a little on the right.

Wow, this all shows off your art talents really well! The character and environment both look great!
