Nice work! Makes me nostalgic (anemoic?) for the days when monster comics were still a mainstream occurrence.

The heyday of horror comics in America I would say was in the 40' to mid 50's.
And then came Fredric Wertham with the book
'Seduction of the Innocent: The Influence of Comic Books on Today's Youth'
which lead up to the comic book code and horror comics was never the same in America.
Now there was still horror comics in other countries, Italy and Japan comes to mind.

The quality here varies a lot, to the point where the first one makes me suspicious of tracing (though I’ll give you benefit of the doubt). It looks like you can achieve more complex art, though, so keep it up.

Thank you, and I totally understand your suspicion over the quality difference, I wish I could provide a speed paint for the first one but the application I use (fireaplpaca) doesn’t automatically make a sped paint, also another reason is that I just put more quality in some stuff, the first one was an art trade with someone so that’s why I spent more time then the rest on it. Hope this helps calm your suspicions

Like this design and the lighting in the second one. It’s… weirdly cozy to me, I definitely feel the “friendly monster” vibe. I like friendly monsters :)
