Hello!
I know it's been a while since Valentine's Day, but as with every year, the nature of the holiday got me thinking about what I could do to enjoy it as a single person. So over the past month or so I worked with @M-kirbs on a dress-up game related to singles awareness and ace/aro pride! (She's the aroace and I'm the bachelorette, hah. Not looking for an e-relationship, though, so don't you dare try.)
It was a really enjoyable project, we had a good time bouncing ideas off of each other and I like how it turned out in the end! Definitely hoping to do more collabs with Kirbs or other people here in the future!
In Other News...
After years of effort, refining, and false starts, Calling All Heroes is having its official launch on Backerkit as a real card game. We’re going to be hiring artists to make card art of the characters to give it that extra professional polish. If you were part of the original art collab where we crowdsourced characters and still want to see your character in the final card game, talk to @totally-inkish in the Discord!
I am still working on the quality of life update for I’m Not a Doll, but staying motivated is hard when I really don’t know what I’m doing code-wise. :’) Not only will this update implement some requested features, but there will also be some changes to the dialogue to go with a new, more solid idea I have of Maron’s lore.
In the future, if I think it’s worth the extra time and effort, I might end up looking for an artist to help me remaster the graphics for the game, since they were left intentionally simple initially in order to give me more time to code.
Once I'm done with the update, my next plan is to start a new series of horror puzzle games that will shed more light on the alternate universe that Maron comes from, her origins, and what happens to her after being captured by the Foundation in the game’s canon ending.
More news will be coming shortly as I get to a place where I can present some of the various other projects I've been working on! Stay tuned! Have a good day, everyone!
