You can also DM the organizer asking for info. I believe she has a Google doc with info for people who aren’t in the server!
in support of LGBT people, how can you support them, do you just give money to the authorities and they are like, well, ok, I allow it???
I don’t know what the organization specializes in, whether it’s more about trying to put pressure on local politicians and advocate that way, or providing resources for the community. If you want more info, the name of the group in question is probably in the original Collab Forum post that I’m about to add the link to. You can look them up and read up.
Hi!! Organizer Toonie here!!
I forgot to mention that it's the PA Equality Project, not the NWPA Pride Alliance. They work hand-in-hand frequently so I got the names mixed up LOL!
The PA Equality Project has ties with my senator and works with him directly to help make LGBT-friendly spaces. We're currently working on a gender-affirming clothing swap set to happen at the end of March, and also curating a library with books that my school has banned for containing queer content. My IRLs and I are also working hard to make crafts to vend at multiple vendor fairs and local markets so we can raise a little extra money!
@Thetageist ok Ty!
@Thetageist sounds intriguing but the very fact that the organization has a hierarchical structure places serious doubts on the validity of their work .
I’m not sure you know how charities work. We’re not hurting for participants anyway, so I don’t know why you came back to argue again.

Is there any data provided besides "local LGBT organization" ? Anybody can claim that the money goes towards some ethical goal but unless there is evidence it might as well be null .

The organizer has been keeping us updated on all the meetings she’s been to with the president of the organization in order to pitch the project to them. She can provide data better than I can. I’m pretty sure her original post on the Collab Forum also has the name of the organization (that I completely forgot).
